On August 13th I took a trip to Eastern Washington with my friend Jenny and her family. We had a blast staying in the pool for as long as possible, but the sunburns were no fun. Here's the story in pictures...

Crescent Bar...What a Trip
Every morning consisted of getting up, clean up our sleeping bags, eat breakfast, and ... brush our teeth :) As shown by the lovely Jenny.
Even early in the morning, the wonderful bug zapper was our best friend.
We also learned early that sunscreen is your FRIEND. It may be sticky, but it sure helps.
Then off to the pool we went, sometimes as early as 9 in the morning.
By the end of our first day there, we were exhausted. (Patrick, Lilly, Elizabeth)
The aloe vera also became one of our very close friends, but it still burned on our horrible sunburnt faces as shown by me...
I'm sure you can just feel the pain, I know I did.
Showers weren't too important, what with being in the water all day, but it felt nice anyways.
I just thought this was funny, Jenny was getting kinda frustrated with her camera.
Jenny and Uncle Curt
Lots of smiles in the morning. (Lilly, Patrick, Jenny)
Aunt Janet blowing the innertube up for later that afternoon.
I couldnt decide if I wanted air contitioning, or warmness. So I chose both :)
Pool pictures.
It was soooo hard not to laugh. We'd been cracking up not 5 seconds earlier.
The beautiful river at sunset.
Our first stop on the way home. In Leavenworth at the gas station.

So...I had some free time this morning and I thought I'd make some chocolate chip cookies. Here's what they turned out like. Yum.

Yay! Summer is Here!
Well, I guess it's time to start our summer. The 4th was cloudy and cold, but every day after has been absolutely beautiful. Here's some pictures to show :)
Maddy's FIRST time mowing the grass. Dad was so proud. I'm not going anywhere near that thing thank you very much.
They're growing so fast!
Lily an Luci (this just shows how much Lily has grown)
We decided to put our pool up at the BEGINNING of summer, and thank goodness we did! It's soooo hot, but definitely not as hot as the D.C. area. Stay cool guys! We miss you lots :)
Our cousin Zyan enjoying the pool a little early, and in her clothes. Oh well.
Jordyn eating dinner.
Addie on the 4th in the morning.
Maddy and Jenny using the few water balloons we filled up. Not quite hot enough for a water balloon fight yet.
Danielle on the 4th. We thought she looked like something from a Dr. Seuss book with her antennae thingys.
My beautiful cake :)
Dad smiling.
Addie didnt like the firework noise so much, so we found her some headphones.
We're not quite sure, but we just decided that my mom likes to burn things. Like these very nice board games :)

Mom's Project
This is my mom's project she's working on right now. They're little Scrabble letters with a picture glued on one side and glaze over the picture to make it shiny! (There's also a random photo at the end :0)
Bunches of them!
Top.
Letter side.
This is just the picture on my wall! Thought I'd put it up since it's sooo cute. My aunt painted it!
